The noted recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize from His Majesty, King Gustav VI Adolph of Sweden, the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a noted civil rights activist, champion for freedom from discrimination and oppression, and the founder of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. He organized the 1963 March on Washington for Freedom and Jobs on August 28, 1963, where he delivered his famous "I Have A Dream" speech.
He was assassinated on April 4, 1968.
